Newark Airport Terminal and Pickup Guide for 2026

Newark Airport’s Three Passenger Terminals
Newark Liberty International Airport has three passenger terminals: A, B and C. Knowing the correct terminal is essential when arranging a flight, airport drop-off, or professional car-service pickup.
Some airlines operate from more than one terminal depending on whether the flight is domestic or international. Travelers should verify the operating airline, flight number, and terminal before beginning their journey.
Terminal A: Modern Domestic Operations
Newark’s Terminal A opened in 2022 and serves select flights operated by Air Canada, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue, and United Airlines.
Terminal A includes modern check-in facilities, security checkpoints, restaurants, shops, and passenger lounges.
United and JetBlue also use other Newark terminals for certain flights. Travelers should not assume that every flight operated by either airline will use Terminal A.
Terminal B: International and Domestic Airlines
Terminal B serves more than 25 international and domestic airlines, including Aer Lingus, Aeromexico, Air France, Air India, Alaska Airlines, British Airways, EgyptAir, Emirates, Frontier Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, Singapore Airlines, TAP Air Portugal, and Turkish Airlines.
JetBlue international arrivals may use Terminal B, while United also uses Terminal B for certain international arrivals.
International passengers should allow time for immigration, customs, and baggage collection before contacting their driver.
Terminal C: United Airlines
Terminal C is operated by United Airlines and handles United domestic and international arrivals and departures.
However, United also operates selected domestic flights through Terminal A and international arrivals through Terminal B. Providing only the airline name may therefore not be enough for a driver to identify the correct pickup location.
Passengers should always provide the complete flight number.
Professional Car-Service Pickups
Passengers with prearranged car service should collect their luggage and follow terminal signs to the designated ground-transportation pickup area.
Pickup instructions may vary by terminal, traffic conditions, and provider.
Before leaving baggage claim, passengers should:
Turn on their phone.
Confirm the terminal and pickup zone.
Contact their driver or transportation provider.
Follow official airport signs.
Verify the driver and reservation before entering a vehicle.
Drivers should avoid approaching the terminal until the passenger has collected all luggage and is ready at the designated location.
Ride-App Pickup Locations
The source states that Newark Airport identifies specific pickup areas for ride applications, beginning with Terminal A. However, the supplied source text ends at “Terminal A: Arr” and does not provide the remaining pickup-location details. No additional ride-app pickup information has been added.
