New Jersey Begins Mailing ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letters to Over 1.1 Million Residents

The New Jersey Department of the Treasury has begun mailing ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letters to more than 1.1 million qualifying homeowners and renters.

The letters notify eligible residents under the age of 65 that the state will automatically file their property tax relief applications for the 2025 benefit year.

Next Steps for Recipients

If all details in the letter are correct, recipients do not need to take any action. The state will automatically submit their application on September 15, 2026.

Recipients whose name, address, or banking information has changed must submit a new application manually by September 15, 2026.

Eligible residents who do not receive a letter can apply manually online through the NJ Division of Taxation portal.
