Mesaieed, also known as Umm Sa’id, is an industrial coastal city about 36 km south of Doha in Al Wakrah Municipality. Founded in 1949 by QatarEnergy as a key oil tanker terminal, it remains a vital petrochemical hub and is now evolving into a year-round adventure destination.

    • By car: About 30–40 min from Doha via Mesaieed Road/Highway. 

    • By bus: Mowasalat Route 109 runs hourly from Al Ghanim Bus Station to Mesaieed (~1 h), though some terminate at Al Wukair. Confirm schedules in advance.

    • Health & Safety: Bring water, sunscreen, and wear modest desert clothing. Mosquito repellent is advisable for evening beach or park visits. Respect industrial safety zones.
